Christiana Ibilola Awosan, PHD, LMFT

I’m Dr. Christiana Ibilola Awosan, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and owner of Ibisanmi Relational Health, located in Manhattan and Northern Jersey. Ibisanmi is a Yoruba word that means "being born fits me." To us, it means, "I am born to be enough, born to be whole, complete and lacking nothing. I am unique and filled with all I need to enjoy and deal with life - its challenges and its blessings." Ibisanmi Relational Health is here to make sure you see and reclaim this in yourself and others in your life. At Ibisanmi Relational Health, we have extensive training in understanding relationship dynamics and how important relationships in your life influence your mental, emotional, and relational well-being. We are skilled at helping you understand the ways your own mental and emotional health also impact how you authentically show up in your relationships and achieve a fulfilling life. Whether you're an individual struggling with the anxiety and the daily difficulties of pursuing your goals (i.e., dating, career, etc.) or a couple fighting to stay together and overcome infidelity or a family dealing with a painful loss of a loved one, Ibisanmi Relational Health is here to help you. We are committed to providing high-quality, collaborative, culturally relevant mental health services to Black/African-American people and communities of color. We’ll walk you through the stressors, pain, and difficulties of life, work, and relationships. We are here to help you reclaim your wholeness!
